In honour of Halo’s ten year anniversary, here’s ten things we’ve learned: 1. Creativity is at the centre of everything - surround yourself with amazing creatives and life is much easier 2. Learn - develop the people around you and yourself, go on a course, learn a new skill... 3. Keep optimistic - difficult at times, but stick with your path and the journey will unveil itself, may not look exactly like you thought it would, but it’s a journey nonetheless 4. Take the risk - be calculated obviously, but whether it’s moving to a new office or committing to a large project - just do it 5. Take a chance on people - people are brilliant, surround yourself with nice, dedicated and honest people 6. Don’t think too far ahead - this can lead to worries you don’t need, focus on the now, with only a small eye on next month 7. Momentum is everything - when everything is going well, ride the high as much as possible, there will always be a come down but make hay whilst the sun shines 8. Don’t undervalue yourself - if you don’t understand your value how can you expect a client to? 9. Walk away - if the client doesn’t feel like a good fit, never be afraid to walk away 10. Be you - don’t change who you are to please a different sector or client, chances are the person you are is the reason you’re talking to them anyway. Last week we conducted a test and sent out 100 direct messages to businesses via Instagram, the results are in… Direct Messages sent 100 Autoresponders received 87 (quite high, surprised even us) Autoresponders that featured a timeline to get back to us 56 Number of companies that actually responded 7 😳 Yes. 7 😱 From a customer journey perspective this is a disaster. Now we know there’s a lot of unsolicited spam heading into inboxes daily, however we urge companies to check inboxes at least three times a week, even if only to double check that ‘dream customer’ wasn’t sat there awaiting your reply… Caveat – we are a marketing agency and as unbelievable as it sounds, not everyone likes to speak to us. In a now deleted post, Twitter declared it would be banning users from linking to other social media platforms on Sunday (18 December). The tweet said the platform would “no longer allow free promotion” for other social media services. “Specifically, we will remove accounts created solely for the purpose of promoting other social platforms and content that contains links or usernames for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post,” it added.
